While I was in college I spent my weekends installing audio equipment for extra money even though I couldn’t afford anything to outfit my vehicle at the time. Fortunately times have changed and so has the technology. You can now install something without a bulky head unit, which is great because I wasn’t sure where I was going to install one to begin with. Since I had a hole in my dash that needed to be filled it was the perfect opportunity.
I opted for a JL Audio MBT-CRX to control the music in the dash. I had a piece of black plexiglass cut to fill the portion of the dash where the lighting once was and CNC’d to work with the new hardware. This little device basically can stream from whatever bluetooth enabled device you have to the stereo system you have installed.
